In BOXING AGAINST THE BINARY, filmmaker Esmée van Loon takes us to a unique gym in Rotterdam. Queer Gym is a space designed for non-normative bodies to exercise, build community, and stay active both mentally and physically. The film follows Romy, the passionate founder, who shares his motivation for creating a safe and inclusive space. Through intimate conversations with Romy, members, and trainers, it becomes clear how the gym helps them rediscover joy and confidence in movement.
